All our reconditioned stairlifts are intricately refurbished and given new parts where needed and new batteries. They all come with a full 2 year warranty which covers you for any call outs, parts and labour for the full 2 years. So you can rest assured that our reconditioned stairlifts won’t let you down – figuratively speaking!
Popular stairlift models are the Stannah 600 (straight stairlift) and the Stannah 260 (curved stairlift). We also cater for difficult and awkward staircase installations which may need a more suitable model.
In such cases where our usual recommended stairlift won’t fit the staircase, we will recommend an alternative. This is often an Access BDD stairlift (formerly Thyssen). Popular models are the Flow 2 and Flow X stairlifts which are available as reconditioned models depending on current stock.
Reconditioned Stairlifts Manchester – Popular Models
The Flow 2 is the predecessor to the newest Access BDD model the Flow X and both are agile stairlifts which are most suitable for difficult or narrow staircases. These stairlifts have patented technology known as the ASL (Advanced Swivelling and Levelling technology). This means they can travel while pivoting and tilting, something most stairlifts are not capable of.
As such they can perform on very difficult and awkward staircases which are unsuitable for some other models.
Reconditioned Stairlifts Manchester – Clever Refurbished Stairlifts
Access BDD, (the new division of Thyssen), also do a straight stairlift known as the Homeglide which is another cleverly designed stairlift. The Homeglide stairlift is also available as a reconditioned stairlift where available.
It features a moving rail which is useful when dealing with a narrow corridor or conflicting doorways at the base of the stairs. With a traditional stairlift, the stairlift rail setup can get in the way. With a Homeglide the rail folds out of the way, to create more space at the base of the staircase.
Since the stairlift can be stored further up the rail, and needn’t sit at the base (or top) of the staircase, this leaves scope for more complex and awkward staircase arrangements.
Why Buy A Reconditioned Stairlift?
There’s a couple of reasons you might want a reconditioned stairlift rather than a brand new one. Obviously, a reconditioned stairlift is much cheaper. But if you’re needing a stairlift urgently too, a reconditioned stairlift can often be installed much more quickly. That’s because the stairlift is usually in stock and ready to go. Whereas with a new stairlift, you might have to wait longer for the manufacturers.
Reconditioned stairlifts can save you a lot; even up to 50% of the cost of a brand new stairlift depending on the make and model you order. You might think that a reconditioned stairlift won’t last. While the warranty on a new stairlift is often longer (usually 3 years), we offer full 2 year warranties on our reconditioned stairlifts – giving you peace of mind and security. If you have a problem with your stairlift, we are there to help.
Your warranty covers you for breakdowns, callouts, parts and labour.
